Manual S and LLH – Low Load Homes Advanced Training Workshop

Manual S and Low Load Homes (LLH) deals with the unique HVAC issues associated with homes that exhibit low cooling load per Manual J load calculations and identifies Manual S equipment options and approaches.

With numerous changes to building codes and industry standards to accommodate the safe use of Low GWP refrigerants, those working in the HVACR industry will need information and training to keep pace with innovation.

What to expect from this workshop:

  • Provides an in-depth understanding of LLH and the effect the Florida Energy Code had on load calculations
  • Reveals how the LLH problem all started
  • Provides ways to identify an LLH
  • Presents the challenges encountered by LLHs and provides example solutions

Industry Expert Instructor:

Bob Volin – Instructor, Air Design Concepts, Inc. Bob has been in the air conditioning industry for over 45 years, with 40 years as a state licensed A/C contractor. In 2001, he became a CEU provider to offer classes to A/C contractors throughout Florida on performing Manual J load calculations using Wrightsoft Software.
