Workshop: Low GWP Safety Training and Certification

As the HVACR industry continues to move forward and innovate, the refrigerants that were once so commonplace are now being phased down. Replacing them are more energy efficient and environmentally friendlier refrigerants, know as Low GWP refrigerants. Many of these new refrigerants are classified by ASHRAE as A2L or slightly flammable.

With numerous changes to building codes and industry standards to accommodate the safe use of Low GWP refrigerants, those working in the HVACR industry will need information and training to keep pace with innovation.

This Workshop is professionally managed by Construction Resources Group (CRG, Inc).

This Safety Training Workshop (with study guide) and ESCO Certification Exam covers:

• Refrigerant safety
• Introduction to Low GWP refrigerants
• Refrigerant properties and characteristics
• The refrigeration cycle
• Working with refrigerant blends
• Proper installation and service guidelines
• Flammable refrigerant considerations
• Explanation of the associated codes and standards for A2L refrigerants

What to Bring:
Bring a laptop and mouse to interact with class and Wrightsoft demo version already downloaded from www.wrightsoft.com/download. If currently using Wrightsoft, spreadsheet or Elite software (licensed or demo) – it can be used during class instead of the Wrightsoft demo software. Software works best with a PC-based laptop or Mac OS that is PC integrated.
